Rick
Graziani teaches computer science and computer networking
courses at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California. Rick has
been teaching full-time at Cabrillo College since 1994. Prior
to that Rick worked in the information technology field for
over 15 years at Santa Cruz Operation, Tandem Computers, and
Lockheed Missiles and Space Corporation. Rick Graziani holds
an M.A. in Computer Science and Systems Theory from California
State University Monterey Bay.
Cabrillo College is a Regional Cisco Networking Academy, one
of the first 25 Cisco Academies in the world. Many of
Cabrillo’s students have gone on to work in the networking
industry, including at Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, the
FBI, and the Defense Language Institute. Some students have
continued their education at universities, including
California State University Monterey Bay, University of
California Santa Cruz and San Jose State University.
Rick Graziani is also involved with articulation of computer
networking courses from Cabrillo to universities, including
California State University Monterey Bay and the University of
California Santa Cruz. Rick has taught networking at
California State University Monterey Bay and helped develop
their Computer Science and Information Technology degree with
an emphasis in Networking and Security.
Rick does consulting work for Cisco Systems Networking
Academy, writing curriculum, conducting training and
presenting at conferences. Rick has given presentations and
training sessions for the Cisco Academy in variety of
locations, including Venezuela, Paris and Rome. Rick also does
work for Cisco Press, co-authoring two books, and serving as a
technical reviewer on several others.
Besides his passion for teaching, Rick enjoys surfing at
various locations near his home in Santa Cruz, California.
