This one-day workshop will provide hands-on opportunities to
learn to use Blackboard Collaborate (formerly
Elluminate) to improve ICT education: through online
department meetings, online faculty office hours, remote guest
lectures, and, ultimately, teaching simultaneously to students
in-person in the classroom, to students synchronously and
interactively online, and to students asynchronously online.
This allows you to reach and better serve more students; make
more classes run; and achieve better student, teacher and
department outcomes.
Hawaii community colleges already have licenses for Blackboard
Collaborate, so use of this tool is free to Hawaii community
college faculty.
Come learn by doing how to use this great tool! (Attendees
will be asked to activate licenses and view orientation videos
prior to the workshop.)
