See
UNLV Admissions for more information on
UNLV Fees, and how to apply, but full-time tuition at
4-year campuses is about $3,700 a year for Nevada residents
and $14,700 a year for non-residents. Total costs if living
on campus are around $18,000 in-state and $30,000 out of
state.
See
UN-Reno Admissions for more information on UN-Reno Fees,
and how to
apply, but full-time tuition at 4-year campuses is about
$3,700 a year for Nevada residents and $14,700 a year for
non-residents. Total costs if
living on campus are around $15,000 in-state and $28,000 out
of state.
In-state residence for
students can be established after 12 months. All
non-residents in the MPICT region are eligible to apply for
admission under the
UN-LV Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program or the
UN-Reno Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program of
the
Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE),
which provides an out of state tuition discount of around
$9,000 annually.
An excellent strategy for affordably acquiring a U.N. degree
is to attend a community college and transfer to a U.N. campus
(as a junior). See
U.N.-Las Vegas transfer and
U.N. – Reno transfer information for specifics.
Generally, students with at least 24 units of credit and a 2.5
GPA are eligible for transfer. Transfer relationships between
the U.N. 4 year and community colleges are very well defined,
because those schools are all part of the same system.
U.N. – Las Vegas articulation worksheets can help with
that from Nevada community colleges. The
U.N. – Reno articulation tool covers even more schools.
ICT students may be interested in the world of networked
casino gaming devices, which is well developed in Nevada.
Basically, most gaming machines on casino floors are networked
computer devices.
Designing, deploying, maintaining, securing and inspecting
those machines employs many people. |
