See Admissions Offices for more information on fees and how to apply, but full-time tuition at 4-year campuses is about $6,750 a year for Hawaii residents and $12,000 a year for non-residents.  Total costs for living on campus are around $18,000 in-state and $30,000 out of state.  All non-residents in the MPICT region are eligible to apply for admission under the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), which provides an out of state tuition discount of around $8,500.

An excellent strategy for affordably acquiring a U.H. degree is to attend a community college and transfer to a U.H. campus (as a junior).  U.H. campuses have different transfer requirements.  Generally, students with an Associate degree from a community college are accepted as having completing the UH general education core requirements.  Transfer relationships between the U.H. 4 year and community colleges are very well defined, because those schools are all part of the same system. Honolulu Community College and Kapiolani Community College have very innovative 3+1 transfer relationships with U.H. – West Oahu, in which students cost effectively complete 3 years at the community college and only one at the university to obtain Bachelor of Applied Science degrees.

Students from outside the UH system may find the Admission and Records Credit Transfer database helpful in determining if a course transfers to a 4-year UH campus.  Students within the UH system may find the UH System Course Transfer Database valuable to find out transferring courses between various campuses in the UH System.  Articulation Agreements related to ICT include:  Business Technology (BTEC) Computing, Electronics and Networking Technology (CENT), Digital Media, Digital Media 2, Information and Computer Science.
