Progress and innovation in building the Internet requires a common set of standards for software development. The World Wide Web Consortium is an international community that establishes technical standards that enable the continued growth and enhancement of the Web.

ICT faculty can access the W3C website to stay current on emerging Internet technologies and gain insight into the technologies that your students will be using during their careers. Furthermore, W3C publishes a wide variety of free courses and tutorials about web technologies that you can share with your students.
