Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Educator Resources - K-20 California Educational Technology Collaborative

Supporting highly effective, network-enabled teaching and learning opportunities for the California K-20 community.

The K-20 California Education Technology Collaborative (K20CETC) consists of K-20 education leaders who work together on partnerships, planning, and policies that advance the use of technology to improve teaching and learning in California. The K20CETC website offers ICT educators educational technology publications and resources, as well as information about the following K20CETC projects.

New Media

The K20CETC’s New Media Project is a collaboration with the California State University's Digital Marketplace Initiative to develop common standards for digital resources so educators can more easily find and share the materials they need.

CAHSEE Preparation

California public school students must pass the California High School Exit Exam (or CAHSEE) to receive a high school diploma. The K20CETC’s CAHSEE Preparation project is creating a set of high-quality test preparation resources that can be used by both high school and community college instructors.

Online Course Delivery

The K20CETC’s Online Course Delivery project seeks to provide California K-20 students with access to effective and engaging online learning experience from UC College Prep and other sources.

Career Exploration/STEM

Through The Real Game California™, students can learn about different jobs, the California employment marketplace and the consequences of their career decisions. The K20CETC’s Career Exploration/STEM project supports the online version of The Real Game California, in particular its use to strengthen students’ familiarity with STEM career pathways.

Communities of Interest

The K20CETC supports communities of interest who use technology in ways that demonstrate enhanced group communication and collaboration.

Other Projects

Other K20CETC projects include telemedicine, technology advocacy, and finding cost-effective methods for sharing technology functionality.

K20CETC is sponsored by CENIC, which provides California educational institutions with high-performance Internet-based networking.
