Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Educator Resources - ePortfolio California

Transcripts and grades provide good indicators of what students know. But how can your students show what they can do? Electronic portfolios (eportfolios) are digitized collections of projects, presentations, and other work products that can demonstrate your students’ skills, abilities and qualifications. This emerging eportfolio technologies and associated instructional methods have the potential to profoundly impact how we teach and learn, as well as facilitate the transition from school to work.

ePorfolio California is dedicated to understanding the requirements for implementing eportfolios at educational institutions throughout California. A pilot project is underway to help develop a fiscal and technical model for making eportfolios scalable and sustainable. The pilot project involves a diverse set of California K-12 and higher education institutions, each of which have agree to implement electronic portfolios in one or more courses or programs.

The ePortfolio California website explains how electronic portfolios can benefit students, faculty, and institutions. You’ll also find the following resources.
