Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Educator Resources - ComputerGirl.us

ComputerGirl Online’s mission is to encourage female teens who are curious about Computer Science. It was started by current Stanford student, Amy Wu, as a high school student, to bridge the gap between young women in high school and the computer world. Since then, the ComputerGirl project has become an Association for Computing Machinery's Committee on Women in Computing (ACM-W) project.

This site serves as a one stop shop for many great resources to encourage active engagement of female high school students in ICT fields, but there is great information here for women in college also:

The Advice section provides some plain language recommendations by women to girls interested in computers.

The Learning Center provides an introduction to basic computer related technologies, including email, Microsoft Office, legally downloading music, the Internet, printer setup and webpage design.

The Articles section provides some great articles on ICT subjects that appeal to girls.
