The
Centers of Excellence (COE) produce reports about high
growth, emerging, and economically critical industries and
occupations. These reports, called “environmental scans,”
provide data about employer requirements and challenges, the
response of secondary education to industry needs, and
community support and resources.
Do you want to keep current on employment opportunities in
emerging ICT fields? COE’s environmental scans can provide you
with detailed information that can help you better prepare
your students to participate in the workforce of the future.
Of particular interest to ICT faculty are
ICT
environmental scans in California, which include:
There are ten
Centers of Excellence located throughout California. You
can download their

registration.

Services |
COE
environmental scans provide workforce data
that promote collaborations among community
colleges, businesses, and workforce development
professionals. Using these reports, ICT faculty
can better understand the job marketplace of the
future, qualifications for employment, and the
issues facing hiring managers in business related
to the disciplines in which they teach. Faculty
can also make better informed decisions about
updates and adjustments to their curricula.
For more details, view COE’s
presentation about its services for community
college faculty and administrators.
