Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Educator Resources - CCC Technology Center

 

 

Have a big idea, but need technology support to make it happen? The California Community Colleges (CCC) Technology Center is a systemwide service organization that can help you with initiatives that exceed the resources of your local IT support services. They can help you with managing technology projects, website hosting, developing sources of external funding, and vendor selection, contracts, and payments.

Projects

Some of the initiatives facilitated by the CCC Technology Center include:


- California Virtual Campus: The most comprehensive database of online courses at California colleges and universities.


- CCCApply: An online application system for California Community Colleges.


- California Research and Education Network (CalREN): The high speed network that connects California’s K-12 and higher education institutions to the Internet.


- eTranscript California: A statewide system for requesting, transmitting, tracking, and viewing academic transcripts.

 

Services

The CCC Technology Center can help you with:


- The fiscal management of payments to contractors and vendors, including payments involving Telecommunications and Technology Infrastructure (TTIP) funds, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) funds, and Corporation for Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) annual fees


- Listservs and web site hosting


- Leadership of CCC systemwide projects, and other projects involving collaborations between the CCC system and other organizations


- Administrative support and event management for statewide initiatives


- Marketing and communications outreach for systemwide technology projects
 

Newsletter

The CCC Technology Center publishes, TechEDge, a free online newsletter about educational technology throughout the CCC system. TechEDge provides technology news, opinions, and a calendar of technology-related events. You can register at the TechEDge website to sign up for weekly eNews updates.
