Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Education at Northern Marianas College

Northern Marianas College (NMC) is dedicated to helping its students actualize their potentials for the enhancement of their individual lives as well as for the improvement of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands as a whole, while respecting the human dignity and unique talents of each person.  Since being founded in 1981, more than 20,000 people have enrolled in regular NMC degree and certificate courses, over 3000 persons have been awarded certificates and/or degrees in programs offered or coordinated by NMC; and more than 12,000 individuals have been served in our community through such programs as the Adult Basic Education, Continuing Education, and the Cooperative, Research, Extensions, and Education Service.  The campus is on the island of Saipan.

NMC’s Business Department provides quality education and training that prepares the people of the CNMI for leadership and management careers in the private and public sectors, as well as providing the inspiration and academic foundation for successful entrepreneurship. Courses include options in computer applications.  Students are offered the option of pursuing any of the following Associate degrees:

1.   an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business;

2.   an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Business Administration with an Emphasis in either Accounting, Business Management, or Computer Applications; or

3.   an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Hospitality Management.
