Mission’s
Computer Network Electronics Technology - CNET
program in the
Department of Technology Studies has two AS
Degree courses of study.
Computer Electronics Technology (CET)
adds RF theory, A+ certification,
programming, and many other related topics to the
study of microprocessors.
Computer Network Technology (CNT)
provides an-depth study of networking, including
routers, router management, wireless technology,
network security and many other related topics,
all supported by hands-on experience in a
state-of-the-art networking laboratory. For more

The
Design Drafting program
in the
Department of Technology Studies
is divided into two
areas of specialization:
Electronic
That means Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Your job
is to take input from the electronic engineer and
use the skills you will learn in this option to
create the CAD documentation that will actually
build these circuits.
Mechanical
Today’s mechanical designer takes input from
Aeronautical engineers, materials specialists, and
many others, and uses a powerful CAD system to
create the detail plans that make the parts and
assemble the pieces of the final design.

The
Computer Information System (CIS) program
is designed to provide students with the knowledge
and skills required to gain entry level employment
as computer programmers, and/or software/system
administration technicians. The program offers
students the choice of pursuing an Associate of
Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Science, or
certificate(s) with general and C/C++/Unix
programming and emphasis.
The Computer Information Systems department also
offers a transfer program. The courses offered in
the transfer program will transfer to California
State University/ University of California
systems, and other four year colleges. In
addition, the program provides courses to update
skills in areas such as programming in C/C++/Unix

The
Computer Applications program at Mission
College provides you with skills that you can use
in any job and with any major. These skills will
make you more employable by making you more
productive. Whether you are planning to transfer
to another college or get a job, computer skills
are necessary in today's world.
The Computer Applications program at Mission
College has two areas of emphasis. The Office
Administration area is designed to provide skills
necessary for success in an office setting, from
clerk to supervisor/manager. The Office
Information System area is focused on computer
application skills necessary to effectively use
the computer to increase productivity (without
working harder) in an office environment.

Computer Information Technology department
offers students the Cisco Certified Network
Administration (CCNA) Certificate. The Cisco
Certified Network Associate (CCNA) credential is
the premier certification for professionals who
implement and administer networks. The
certification is appropriate for individuals who
derive physical network designs, develop systems
administration models, configure and manage
security, monitor, install, and optimize Router

This award winning
Graphic Design and Multimedia department
is designed to provide the training for entry
level design positions in corporate design and
marketing communication departments or advertising
agencies, and design offices specializing in
corporate identity work, Web design, multimedia
design, packaging or tradeshow exhibit design.
Course work combines traditional art and computer
generated design techniques with a strong emphasis
on creative, visual problem solving skills. The
program includes portfolio and professional career
preparation courses that deal with specific
business issues relevant for designers,
illustrators and fine artists alike. The
