Advantages to having a unified higher education system that
covers all community colleges and public universities in
Hawaii is a good alignment of course, certificate and degree
offerings, excellent transferability and articulation
between different community colleges - and between community
colleges and universities.
Tuition is an affordable $79 per academic credit for
in-state residents. Out-of-state resident tuition is $272
per unit. The University of Hawaii does but Hawaii community
colleges do not participate in the
Western
Undergraduate Exchange Program.
