Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Education at Diablo Valley College

Diablo Valley College offers a dynamic educational environment and a lively atmosphere, with 20,000 students of all ages and a host of programs.  The main campus is located off of Interstate 680 in Pleasant Hill and is situated on one hundred acres of gently rolling hills in view of Mt. Diablo, a northern California landmark.  DVC also offers classes at its San Ramon Campus and dozens of other sites in Central Contra Costa County.

The Computer Science Department offers courses in three general areas, each targeted to serve students with specific needs:

·         General education students seeking a Computer Literacy course which will transfer to both CSU and UC campuses.

·         Computer science transfer students planning to major in computer science or computer engineering at a four-year school.

·         Programming professionals seeking to update their skills.
