College of the Siskiyous
(COS) is
one of the most beautiful community colleges in
California. Its 250-acre campus is
easily accessible off Interstate 5 and Highway
97 in the town of Weed, at the base of majestic
Mount Shasta.
COS’s staff of 200 administrative, instructional
and classified personnel serves more than 3,000
enrolled students.
Facilities include
student lodges, a 600 seat
theater, football stadium, a spacious
library and media center,
high tech center for students with disabilities,
career & technical education and
computer labs,
videoconferencing facilities
and general purpose classrooms. There are rich
opportunities for outdoor recreation in the area.
Through the
California/Oregon Exchange Program, students
can transfer to Southern Oregon University or
Oregon Institute of Technology programs at the $42
per unit Oregon resident tuition rate. |
