MPICT Technology Program Coordinator
Grace
Esteban is the Administrative Assistant of Mid-Pacific
Information and Communications Technologies (MPICT) Center. In
charge of the administrative management in the office, Grace
is managing information through people.
Grace is a "Tech Junkie". She believes technology has the
capability and power to answer today's educational challenges.
Emerging technologies should be introduced and used in the
academia to further improve its present state. Being part of
MPICT gives Grace a chance to study and be exposed to
Educational Technology even before it is offered to students.
As part of her contribution to the Tech community, Grace is
heavily involved in Asian Professional Women in Technology (APWT),
a non-profit organization based in Mountain View. As one of
the founders, she is proud to have seen the organization grow
from 5 original members to over 400 in just two years. APWT is
a network of women geeks of Asian descent in Silicon Valley.
Grace also handles the Internship program of the Department of
Computer Networking and Information Technology (CNIT) at City
College of San Francisco. The Internship program facilitates
student learning opportunities outside the classroom. Their
experiences serve to provide the opportunity to apply
classroom theory to "real world" situations, enhancing the
students’ academic and career goals.
Grace
has a Masters Degree in Instructional
Technology at San Francisco State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and
Journalism from Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
